Ruth L. Siegler, an Albuquerque area resident since 1959, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011. She is survived by a daughter, Joanne Pagni and husband Frank of Grants Pass, OR; son, Carl Shearer and wife Sheila of Allentown, PA; grandchildren, Thomas Shearer of Macungie, PA and Lori Cangilose of Grants Pass, OR; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Wieler of Aurora, IL; brothers Robert Darr of Milton, IA and Edward Darr of Dallas, GA; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend of 50 years, Jeanne Koury of Albuquerque. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Milton H. Siegler in 2010. Mrs. Siegler retired from Kirtland AFB as a telephone operator after over 20 years service. Ruth loved her hobbies of knitting, ceramics and candle making. Each year she made decorative candles for the squadron members at Kirtland AFB. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., at French-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd NW.
