Georgia "Goga" Sedillo, born May 9, 1938, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2011. She retired from the State of NM CYFD. Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Josephine Chavez; brothers, sisters, and grandson, Anthony. She is survived by her life-partner, Willie Gutierrez; children, Ep Sedillo, Henrietta Sedillo-Vernon and husband, Rod Vernon, Anthony Sedillo, Donna Sedillo and life-partner, Mario Caballero; grandchildren, Shauni Kelly and husband, Jason Kelly, Fermin Sedillo and wife, Angelica Sedillo, Michael Sedillo; Rodney Gurule, and Adam Gurule; siblings, Marcella Perez, Merlin Jojola, Johnny Chavez, Joe Ben Chavez, and Jimmy Chavez; great-grandchildren Robert Sedillo, Nathan Kelly, Alyssa Kelly, Jaycob Kelly, Fermin Sedillo Jr., Jaylyn Kelly, Anthony M. Sedillo, Nico Taylor, Jaxx Gurule, and Aiden Gurule; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr, on Tuesday, January 11, 2011. A Rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. A Graveside Service will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St, NW, Abq, NM 87107. 505-343-8008.
