Obituary for MCLACHLAN

John T. McLachlan, 88, passed away January 5, 2011. He was born in Denver, CO and has lived in Albuquerque since 1955. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eva; brother, George McLachlan; sister, Marie Corolla; children, Patricia Francis and husband, Marion, Barbara Davis and husband, Joseph, Michael McLachlan and wife, Linda; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Graveson and husband, Philip, Gwen Marino, Amy Allen and husband, Rod, Steven Wienczkowski, Joetta Maier and husband, Dan, Juliette Glembocki and husband, Jerry, Matthew Davis and wife, Hillary, Jodie Lord and husband, Mark, Erin McLachlan, Thomas Francis, and Edward Francis; 14 great-grandchildren, Zach and Rose Graveson, Jessie and Joseph Marino, Morgan Allen, Ryan, Luke and Jake Maier, Renee and Steven Glembocki, Cassidy, Ava, and Samantha Davis, and Anabelle Lord. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather to the many whom loved him. He served in the Navy as Aviation Chief Electronic Technician in the South Pacific during WWII. After that, he worked for over 41 years and retired as District Manager - Real Estate for Mountain Bell. He also served seven years as founder, President and Head Commissioner for the Young America Football League and was very active in the Sandia High School Booster Club. In retirement, John was involved in the Tanoan Country Club HOA as President and Planning Committee member. He was also a member of Annunciation Church. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. A Rosary will be recited Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 6:00 p.m., at French ~ Wyoming Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 10, 2011 at 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont St. NE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
