Jeffrey Donald Seward, age 62, died from lung cancer Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 at the University of New Mexico Hospital. He had been a resident of Albuquerque since 2002, and was a retired chauffeur and taxi-cab driver with a deep and wide-ranging knowledge of both human and natural history. Mr. Seward was born on March 13, 1948 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved at the age of seven with his family to Stamford, Conn. During much of the 1970s and 1980s, he lived and worked in the Miami area, returning to Stamford in 1986. He is survived by two brothers, Jed, of Albuquerque and John of New Haven, Conn.; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
