Patricia Joann Hamilton, 66, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, died on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Pat is survived by her daughters, Lara C. Fischer and husband, John of Dallas, TX and Alison S. Hamilton of Albuquerque; granddaughter Grace Fischer of Dallas, TX; grandson, Johnny Fischer of Dallas, TX; mother, Merallene Dooley of Norwalk, IA; sisters, Deanna Clark and husband, Terry of Adel, IA and Davia Kahle and husband, Chuck of Austin, TX; brother, Father Thomas Dooley of Avoca, IA; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Vincent Dooley; sister, Kathleen "Kandy" Lininger; and her nephew Jeff Clark. Pat was born on May 26, 1944 in Des Moines, IA to Thomas Vincent and Merallene Kellar Dooley. She graduated from Valley High School, Class of 1962, in IA and attended El Paso Community College. Pat was married to Robert Hamilton for 21 years. As a new bride she moved to Albuquerque where she began her career as a legal secretary, and retired as a paralegal in 2009 from the Rodey Law Firm. Pat was an avid golfer and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Rosary will be held at French - Wyoming Chapel, Tuesday, December 21, 2010, 1:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Prayer Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date in Cumming, IA.
