James Matthew Carroll, 78, U.S. Air Force MSGT (retired) and long time resident of Albuquerque, born May 8, 1932 in Cambridge, MA, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Asako; children, June Mitchell and husband John, George Carroll, and Jane Bieri and husband Tim; eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. James proudly served his country and thoroughly enjoyed his yearly fishing trip to Alaska. Friends are welcome to visit French ~ Lomas Chapel 10500 Lomas Blvd NE on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Cremation will take place following visitation and interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
