Carmela "Mel" Benvenuti Ellis (November 7, 1927 - November 21, 2010) Mrs. Benvenuti Ellis was born in Northern Westchester County, New York where she grew up, raised her family and was a successful business woman until she moved to the Southwest in 1987. She had been a resident of Albuquerque since that time. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; a sister; and her husband. Survivors include four sisters and their families; three children, Robert Benvenuti, Joan Benvenuti and Brenda Caruso and their families, including four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Burial for Mrs. Benvenuti Ellis will occur at a later date in Mt. Kisco, NY.
