Patricia Carmen Gonzales, the Lord needed a courageous angel in Heaven and called home Patricia Carmen Gonzales Contreras on November 26, 2010. Family and friends who were blessed to share in Pat's wonderful life will miss her dearly, but the incredible strength and courage she showed in the last years of her life will continue to inspire all who knew her. Patricia was born March 7, 1944 in Hanover, New Mexico. She graduated from Valley High School in 1961. She served in several different career fields throughout her life, including co-owner of several businesses, a real estate agent for Unica Realty and finally an employee with the City of Albuquerque for more than 10 years until her retirement in 2005. Pat's proudest accomplishment in life, however, was raising her three beautiful daughters and wonderful son, and then filling with joy and love the lives of her eight grandchildren. Pat was tremendously devoted to her family and faith. She loved nothing more than providing her family with love, joy, warmth, and her famously good food. Pat is survived by her loving children, Sandra Donaldson of Clovis, NM, Rhonda Falcone of Albuquerque, Jeannette Snell of San Antonio, Texas, and Jay Contreras of Albuquerque; her grandchildren, Lucas Donaldson, Benjamin Donaldson, Nicholas Donaldson, Caroline Snell, Andrew Snell, Charlie Falcone, Patrick Snell, and Sara Falcone; her siblings, Louie Gonzales, Tommy Gonzales, Marie Annette Stout, and Paul Gonzales; her uncle Jess (Chuy) Martinez and wife Pat Martinez; and sons-in-law, Les Donaldson, M.D., Clay Snell, and Vince Falcone. She enjoyed spending time with her dear friend and companion of many years, Marshall Montano, and her loyal dog Trixie. Pat is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Fidel Gonzales and Erlinda Gonzales. A rosary will be held at French ~ Wyoming Chapel, on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE, on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Pat will be laid to rest at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE, immediately following the service. Pallbearers will be Colt Gonzales, Eric Gonzales, Logan Stout, Kenny Martinez, Eddie Stout, and Vince Falcone. Paul Gonzales will be the honorary pallbearer. The family requests that donations be given in Pat's honor to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Montgomery Blvd NE, Suite 300, Albuquerque, NM, 87111, so that others with cancer can continue to enjoy the glorious gift of life.
