Edward James Griego, born November 30, 1958, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 18, 2010. Edward was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Griego. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Wilma Griego; father, Carlos Griego; daughters, Savannah Apodaca and husband, Anthony, Denise Fernandez and husband, Tony, and youngest daughter, Joann Griego; two grandchildren, Ella and Ethan; brothers, Andy Griego and wife, Peggy and family, Steve Griego and wife Lydia and family; and sister, Charlene Hernandez and husband, Steve and family. Ed was known and will always be remembered as a hard worker, generous, loving person. His giving and legacy will continue to live, for Edward was given the opportunity to donate life to save three other lives. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Rosary will be recited at Risen Savior Catholic Community, Tuesday, November 23, 2010, 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE, Wednesday, November 24, 2010, 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ed's name to New Mexico Donor Services, 1609 University Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
