Frances Lee Brown, 74, a resident at Sierra Health Care Center, died on Wednesday, November 17, 2010. She was born on June 22, 1936 in Jerome, Arizona to John and Helen (McClaskey) Mitchell. She was a newspaper reporter and a poet, and won a national award for her poetry. Survivors include her daughters - Victoria Edwards and husband, Ken, of Stanley, NM and Lorene James of TorC, NM; her son, Miles Brown and wife, Leona, of Thoreau, NM; her step-son, Allen Brown; her step-daughter, Claudia Wolf; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; her sister, Kathy Tobler and husband, Roy; and her brother, Ralph Mitchell and wife, Ella. Cremation will take place and Inurnment will be held at the Ruidoso Cemetery on December 18, 2010. Arrangements are by Kirikos Family Funeral Home, Inc. & Sierra Crematory, LLC, 303 N.
