Josefita C. Benavidez (Nana) was born December 30, 1922 in Lemitar, NM and passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 87. She is preceded in death by her husband, Boleslo P. Benavidez; and her son, James. J. Benavidez. She is survived by her brother, Seferino Chavez; sister, Patsy Humphrey; daughters, Jennie Sanchez, Lillie Jaramillo and husband, Paul Jaramillo, and Dorothy Benavidez; 15 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; and 15 great- great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved and will miss her. Josefita was an active member of the Catholic Charismatic Center. Josefita's family extends a special thank you to Vista Care Hospice, especially Deborah, Alicia, and the staff that took such good care of her. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's on Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St Josephs Ave NW on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt.
