Henry M. (Hank) Bremer 05/27/1932 - 11/08/2010 Hank Bremer, age 78, died peacefully at home in the company of his immediate family, on Monday, November 8, 2010, after a lengthy illness. He was born May 27,1932, in Peculiar, Missouri. In 1953 he graduated from Park College in Parkville, Missouri, and on August 2,1953 he married Teresa Hargrave in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they lived for several years with their two children, Jon Michael and Catherine Anne. In 1963 the family moved to San Anselmo, California, where Hank attended San Francisco Theological Seminary (Presbyterian) from which he graduated in 1966. He spent many productive years in the ministry both as pastor and as administrator in Presbyterian retirement homes. His ministry in California and Idaho was marked by strong social and political leadership and involvement in peace and justice movements in California, Mexico, and Central America. Hank developed close ties with Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu in the first years of the Presbyterian Church's ownership of the Ranch. His work with the Ranch contributed to his love for northern New Mexico; and in 1997 he retired and moved to Santa Fe where he worshiped in First Presbyterian Church and joyfully volunteered with CASA and the Museum of New Mexico Palace Gift Shop. He is remembered by friends and family as a strong leader, wise advisor, and a warm, joyful, active, faithful pastor, friend, husband, and father. Survivors include his wife, Teresa; his son, Michael; his daughter-in-law, Anne Baldwin; and his daughter, Catherine. Memorial services of thanksgiving for Hank's life will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, November 27, at First Presbyterian Church in Santa Fe. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service and the reception immediately following at the church.
