Palmer C. Reedy long time resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the age of 79. Palmer was born on June 1, 1931 in Clintwood, VA. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gloria; and children, Dianna and husband, William Hoffman, Charles and wife, Cindy Reedy, Christian and wife, Marya Reedy, Shirley and husband, Doug Mitchell, and Agatha and husband, Vaughn Fulton. Palmer had a loving family of 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Claude Reedy. He was a successful businessman of 44 years, founder of Palmer Reedy Tire Company established on September 1, 1966. Palmer is a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, a Veteran, an avid gardener and baseball fanatic. His rosary will be held at Nativity Church located at Fourth and Alameda at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 28, 2010. Mass will be held at Nativity Church at 9:00 a.m., on Friday, October 29, 2010 followed by interment at 1:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In honor of their grandfather, Palmer's grandsons will be his pallbearers. Palmer was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his family and friends, may he rest in peace.
