Obituary for YOUNG

Edward P. Young, sunrise September 5, 2010 Edward Young, known fondly to his family and friends as Ted, succumbed to a long illness at Vistacare in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ted was 47 years old. He is survived by two devoted children, a daughter Guinevere Alsasia Young aged 16; and a son Edward Paul Young III aged 12; his mother Patricia Young (nee Wieland) of Cary, North Carolina; his brother Roy Arthur Young Jr. of Savannah, Georgia; two sisters: Rosemary Ann Young of Brooklyn, New York and Dawn E. Losito (nee O'Dea) of Cary, North Carolina; and seven loving nieces and nephews. Born in Oradell, New Jersey, Ted grew up in Jackson Heights, New York. He was active in community theater and appeared in Annie Get Your Gun, Wizard of Oz, Godspell, The King and I and several other musical productions. He attended St. Johns University, and New York Tech Institute. However after moving to Albuquerque, he embraced the spirit of the Southwest where he realized his dream and became an accomplished designer of jewelry. Ted will be missed by all who knew him; he was an exceptional man. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Albuquerque.
