Dean Jones, 71, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM passed away on October 15, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Jones; son, Monte Jones; daughter, Valerie Allen; grandchildren, Hunter Jones, Bailey Allen; siblings, Velma Faye McClure, June Vanzant, Bert Jones and wife Jeanene as well as numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Casey Kathaleen Jones; brother, Ralph Jones; parents, Casey and Cleffie Jones. Dean was a retired New Mexico State Police Officer (Lieutenant) and former Chief of Police at the Corrales Police Department. He was a lifelong resident of the State of New Mexico. During his 23 year career as a NMSP officer he was stationed at eight different duty stations throughout northern New Mexico where he made many lifelong friends. He finally retired at the Albuquerque District in 1986. We will ALL miss him very much, he cannot be replaced but we will always have the fond memories of him. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 22, 2010, Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, (located inside Vista Verde Memorial Park), 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
