Obituary for DIXON

Joseph Daniel Dixon, 28, of Tijeras, died on Sunday, October 17, 2010 of a pre-existing heart condition. Joe was born in Sonora, CA on June 17, 1982. He graduated from Sonora High School and briefly attended Columbia College. Joe moved to New Mexico five years ago and worked construction with his father and brother. He was an avid outdoorsman and a gifted musician. Joe was loved by everyone who ever met him and spent many hours exploring New Mexico hiking, kayaking, and bicycling. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Gregory and Sandye Dixon; mother, Patty Morrison; brother, Jake and sister, Rachel, and step-sister, Rebeccah; his grandparents, Patricia Morrison and Ada Dixon; aunts and uncles, Phil and Cindy Dixon, Joe and Linda Dixon, Rick Dixon, Mary Morrison, and John and Joann Morrison; and numerous cousins. Friends may visit French, Lomas location, Wednesday, October 20, 2010, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, October 21, 2010, 1:00 p.m., at French, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Cremation to follow. Joe's brief time on earth was lived to the fullest and the impact he left on our lives will never be forgotten. "Beloved son and brother, we will always love and miss you."
