Roger Byrnes, born January 6, 1933 in Fullerton, CA, passed away October 13, 2010. He was raised in Albuquerque, NM, attended and graduated from St. Mary's school. He served in the Korean War and attended UNM where he earned a degree in Architectural Engineering. In 1960 he married Patricia Byrnes. The were blessed with six children, Judy, Timothy, Jeanne, Joy, Michael and Sean; grandchildren, Trevor, Forest, Jarrett, Callan, Chelsey and Courtney; His sister Mary Ann Gross; nephews, Roger and Steve Gross. He worked at Ellison, Hawkins, Vogt & Byrnes, PA. He assisted in the design and construction of over 40 schools in the Albuquerque area, National Guard Amories, Rust Tractor, Hilton Hotels, Las Cruces Pan Am Center, Santa Fe Plaza Del Norte, Las Tiendas De Corrales, The Promenade and many other projects. He enjoyed bird hunting, fly fishing with family and friends, traveling and visiting projects he had worked on. Mass will be celebrated by Father Sampson and Father Robert Palladino, his childhood friend. Mass will be at Our Lady of the Annunciation, Friday, October 22, 2010 at 8:30 a.m., 2610 Utah NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. In lieu of flowers please send donations to The Salvation Army.
