Lydia D. Gurule, 93, passed away October 13, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph; and daughter Betty Montoya; sisters, Nellie Gonzales and Rita Brock; and brother Al Diaz. She is survived by two sons, Richard R. Gurule and Gilbert Gurule; brother Jimmy Diaz; sister Josephine Scott; grandchildren, Anthony and wife Lorie Montoya, Michelle Martin and husband, Rachelle Creech and Ronald Gurule; great-grandchildren, Anthony Montoya Jr., Matthew Montoya, Lisa Montoya, Kaylee Creech, Allison Creech, Christopher Creech; and several nephews and nieces. She was a life-long member of the Catholic Church and was devoted to her family and high ideals. She treasured her family dearly; she was a devoted wife and mother. A mass will be celebrated on October 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Gurule, Frank A. Gurule, Christopher Creech, Anthony Montoya, Anthony Montoya Jr. and Felix Gurule. Services are in care of: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third Street, SW 505-247-4124
