Katherine P. Burns, 41, passed away September 26, 2010. Katherine was born April 15, 1969, in Taos, New Mexico, to Lawrence J. Crowley and Windy A. (Barnes) Crowley. She graduated from Tao's High. Katherine was the loving wife of Gregory A. Burns, a graduate of Highland High and UNM. Katherine passed away at UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, California, nine days after giving birth to two healthy, beautiful girls, Isla Belle Paloma Burns and Addison Katherine Geneva Burns. She is survived by her parents; and two sisters, Miya and Shanti also remaining to mourn Katherine's death are her husband, Gregory; twin daughters, Isla and Addison Burns; brother-in-law, (Greg's twin brother) Jeffery G., wife Stephanie and nephew Jonathan Burns, with whom Greg and his twin daughters are now living; Also, her in-laws, Samuel G. and Theresa J. Burns of Albuquerque; Other survivors include many aunts, uncles, cousins and grandmother. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Katherine's life was conducted at the Celebrity Center, Los Angeles, California. Memorial will be followed by scattering of ashes in Hawaii at a later date.
