Charlie MacDermott, age 73, of Bernalillo, passed away, Monday, September 27, 2010. Charlie was a well-known soccer coach, having started the Youth Soccer League in Bernalillo. His teams were always feared by those that played against them. He also chartered the first Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops in Bernalillo. He devoted his life to helping children. Charlie is survived by son, Chuck MacDermott and his wife Jamie; daughter, Christine Kovsh; grandchildren, Brittany MacDermott and Christopher Baca; and sister, Sister Rose MacDermott. A Memorial Rosary will be celebrated Monday, October 4, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Memorial Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m., at Church of the Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Rd.
