Karen Bruggemann, 74, resident of Rio Rancho passed away on Monday September 13, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Wyaneta Meyer; and her brother Kenneth. She is survived by her three children, Peter Bruggemann and his wife Linda of Chicago IL, Joanne Ruane of Fort Worth TX, and John Bruggemann and his wife Denise of Rio Rancho; Karen leaves four grandchildren Carol Rodriquez and her husband Roberto of Las Cruces, Jeremy Bruggemann and his wife Laura of Las Cruces, Richard Bruggemann and Michele of Albuquerque, and Seamus Ruane of Fort Worth; Karen is also survived by her four great-grandchildren Maria, Lillianna, Bella, and Brayden. She was a very special mother and grandmother. Karen's children wish to express their gratitude to their father Gary Bruggemann for his unwavering support of Karen throughout her life. Special thanks to Presbyterian Hospital and Hospice for their tender care. Memorial services will be held Friday, September 17, 2010 at Vista Grande Apartments, 4101 Meadowlark Lane SE Rio Rancho, NM at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial tribute be made to the American Arthritis Foundation in her name.
