Leon P. "Bubby" Bentz passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2010 in Prescott Valley, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, Marilyn. He is survived by his five children, Athena and husband Mike Trujillo of Clayton, NM, son Gregory and wife Irene, daughter Holli and husband Billy Robinson, son Edward and wife Ava, all of Albuquerque and daughter Stacey and husband Brian of Gilbert, AZ; Leon was the grandfather of ten and great-grandfather of three; He is also survived by his sister Jacqueline and her husband Richard Bird of Marcus, IA and their nine children and extended family. Leon retired after 25 years of service in the USAF and numerous years at the VA Hospital. A memorial mass is scheduled at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 1:00 p.m.
