John F. Aragon, 85, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away on September 2, 2010. Mr. Aragon is survived by his daughter, Lucy Baca; his son, John Larry Aragon; his sister, Chonita Quintana; his brother, Tony Aragon; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; ten great great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Frankie Aragon; his girlfriend, Carmelita; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Aragon was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Aragon; his daughter, Dolores Gurule; and his grandson, David Barros. Mr. Aragon retired from A.P.S. after 34 years of dedicated service. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona Rd. SW, Father Bill Sanchez, presider. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Baca, Frankie Aragon, Joe Montano, Gene Aragon, Tony Aragon, and J.D. Aragon. Honorary pallbearer will be Dominic Paiz.
