Dorothy F. Cafarelli, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1989, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 23, 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Doreen Dowling of Moriarty, New Mexico; son, Peter Cafarelli and wife, Susan of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, David Dowling of Moriarty, New Mexico and Jenni Cafarelli of Denver, Colorado; and great - grandchildren, Noah and Lanee Philip of Denver, Colorado. Mrs. Cafarelli was preceded in death by her husband, Pete R. Cafarelli. Mrs. Cafarelli was a longtime Elementary Teacher in Westminster, Colorado, and had worked as an Air Traffic Controller in Trinidad, Colorado during World War II. Cremation has taken place and private interment will take place in Trinidad, Colorado. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010, 2:00 p.m., at Woodmark Assisted Living, 7201 Prospect Pl. NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87110.
