George A. "Tony" Uszuko, 86, of Albuquerque passed away Thursday August 12, 2010. He came from the coal mines and train yards of Pennsylvania, migrated to the desert around Salton Sea, CA and lived atop the mountains of Jemez, NM. He taught his children the importance of family, and to respect the great outdoors and all that it offers. He retired from Sandia Labs as a security officer in 1983. As a parishioner, he helped establish Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Byzantine Catholic Church. George was an avid sports fan with a special passion for baseball. He loved to engage anyone in conversation and always won them over. Sadly, George left behind loving family and friends; sister: Mary Henczel of Naperville, Ill, and sister-in-law Roma Uszuko; children: Mike Uszuko and wife Becky, Kaye Frix and husband Bill of MD, Patrick Uszuko and wife Bernice, Timothy Uszuko and sweetheart Claire Middleton and Dr. Charles "Tim" Brady of El Paso, TX; five grandchildren: Jennifer, Rachel, Ryan, Gwen and Melinda; six great-grandchildren: Drue, Nelson, Brendon, Kassandra, Adreama and Bella, who are all missing him and many life long friends are also saddened. Happily, George will be remembered Thursday August 19th, 2010 with a visitation from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. followed by a Parastas and Rosary in the Reflection of Life
