Bobby G. Emerson, 86, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2010 at home with his devoted wife, Cassie, by his side. He was born in Arkansas where he began working for the family funeral home at the age of 14. He graduated from mortuary science school in St. Louis and moved to New Mexico where he continued his career until his retirement. He worked at Strong-Thorn Mortuary Service for many years as well as Direct Funeral Services. He was a member of Kiwanis club, Elks club, 4-H as well as other charitable organizations. He is preceded in death by his stepson, Rick Warwick. He is survived by his loving wife, Cassie P. Emerson; as well as numerous family and friends who loved and will miss him. A Funeral Service will be held at Albuquerque Bible Church, 320 Montano Rd NW on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., Chaplain Bob Evans of Ambercare Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, 700 Yale Blvd, SE. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St, NW, Abq, NM 87107.
