Juanita L. Candelaria, 90, died August 8, 2010. She is survived by her sister Corine Gallegos; nieces, Rachel Tenorio, Virginia Hoak, Patricia Lucero, Inez Carter and Louisa Gallegos, Yolanda Archuleta, Margaret Jaramillo, Sally Welding, Regina McKenzie; nephews, Jude Gallegos, Roman Tenorio, Adolfo Lucero, Richard Tenorio, Robert Tenorio, Tomas Lucero, Sam Lucero, Pablo Candelaria, Antonio Candelaria; and numerous other family and friends. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Refugio and Antonia Lucero; her husband Eleno Candelaria; sister Mary Ann Tenorio; and brother Pete Lucero. Juanita was a graduate of New Mexico Highlands University and taught school for 20 years before retiring. She had her own beauty salon and was very active in the community including being an active volunteer at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Some of their most special days were the days at the family Ranch. A rosary will be recited Friday, 9:30 a.m., and Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Ghost Church, 833 Arizona SE.
