Barbara S. Olguin, 91, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on August 6, 2010, at home with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Olguin is survived by children, Flora Seiler and husband, Daniel, Evangeline (Von) Chavez and husband, Andy, Maurice Olguin and wife, Julia; her grandchildren, Lawrence Seiler and wife, Jill, Gene Seiler, Valarie Burke and husband, Gavin, Brandon Seiler, Mark Chavez, Marvin Chavez, Matthew Chavez and wife, Jean, Maureen Padilla and husband, Louie, Malcolm Chavez, Jared Olguin, and Allison Olguin; 16 great-grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Jessica, Jeffrey, Brittany, Lauren, Ryan, Norman, Marcus, Melanie, Marissa, Miranda, Felicia, Jennifer, Mariah and Meghan. Ten great-great-grandchildren, Marcus, Marcel, Maurice, McKayla, Nadia, Monique, Matthew, Joseph, Michael, and Andrea; her nephews, Robert Calderon, and Ray Martinez; and many nieces nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Olguin was preceded in death by her husband, Moises Olguin; her parents, Modesto and Dolores R. Serna; her sisters, Pilar Padilla, and Lucilla S. Martinez; and her eight brothers, Samuel, Solomon, Ricardo, Modesto, Federico, Jose, Wilfred, and Rosendo. Mrs. Olguin was a member of the Catholic Church, a member of the S.N.M. de M. P. de Alameda, NM, and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Visitation will be Sunday, August 8, 2010 at San Jose de los Duranes Catholic Mission, 2110 Los Luceros Rd., NW from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Monday at the San Jose de los Duranes Mission from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Lawrence, Ben, Valarie, Mark, Marvin, Matthew, Gene, Maureen, Allison, Malcolm, Louie, and Jared.
