Obituary for HASEY

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday August 08, 2010

Richard J. Hasey passed away swiftly into the arms of God on the morning of August 3, 2010. Richard was born February 3, 1932. He served in the Korean War, earned the Korean Service Medal, Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal and was very honorably discharged. My Dad was a good man, he always worked very hard, provided for his family in the very best way he could. I will always have the fond memories of waiting for him on the front stoop in New York, running up the block, into his arms and him carrying me home. He found my 1st best car EVER! A 1976, 3- speed Camero - my dear Mom hated it ! But, it was something he and I shared and loved. I know deep in my heart, he is a content and happy man right now. That is the most important thing. God Bless you Dad- you will always have a special place in my life. - Jan Richard will be interned at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Richard is survived by his dear friend and caregiver, Caroline Hasey; daughter Jan Fensterer, her husband Paul Fensterer and their son, Matthew Phillip Fensterer.
