Eleanor Ruth Burrow passed away in her home on Sunday, August 1st, 2010. Eleanor was born on June 1, 1929 in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from Raton High School and then attended the University of Colorado graduating from CU with a bachelor's degree in education. She was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Eleanor met her husband Ray Burrow at CU. They made their home in Raton, NM, successfully owned and operated a carpet store and dress shop and raised their two daughters. In 1983 Eleanor and Ray moved to Albuquerque, where she was office manager of D'Elegance Jewelers for many years. Eleanor is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ray Burrow; daughters, Valerie Padilla and husband Joseph, Nancy Bashore and husband George; and grandchildren, Amy Padilla, Christy Ortiz and husband Aaron and Jonathan Bashore; and great-grandchildren, Alexa and Gabriele Ortiz.
