Obituary for ANDERSON

Lawrence S. Anderson, age 81, passed away on August 5, 2010 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born to Samuel and Marion Anderson in Milaca, MN. Andrew was a world class athlete and runner and was awarded the tittles of Male Athlete of the year in 2004 from the New Mexico Games. He was also presented the first Senior Olympic Courage Award in 2005 for his continued participation in running and exercise while fighting his Parkinson's disease. Andy also served his country proudly during WWII for the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed and his memory will always be cherished. Andy is survived by his loving wife, Lorna Anderson of the family home; five sons Christopher Anderson and family, Monte Anderson and wife, Laurie, Bradley Anderson and wife, Melissa, John Robertson and family and Jim Tonn and wife Sarah. Two daughters Lisa Anderson-Reynolds and husband, Rick, and Dana Robertson and family. Andrew is also survived by two brothers, Oscar Anderson and wife, Peggy and Jarvis Anderson and wife, Judy, one sister, Ruth Eden. Andrew also has 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at French Mortuary ~Wyoming Blvd. Chapel at 3:00 pm with Reverend Jack Russell officiating.
