Obituary for TRUJILLO

Deacon Joe Trujillo, age 72, a resident of Los Lunas for 38 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Deacon Joe was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, where he was ordained a Deacon in 1987. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo and Maria Trujillo; brother, Simon Trujillo and sisters, Ramona Martinez and Esther Marquez and is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Margaret Trujillo; his children, Joseph and Carolyn Trujillo of the home; brother, Pete Trujillo of Hurley, NM; sisters, Alice McPeek of Albuquerque, Sally Bennett of El Cerro and Connie Garcia of Victorville, CA; his special grandchildren, Andrew, Stephanie and Jessica McDonald and several nieces and nephews. All services for Deacon Joe will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Saturday, July 31, 2010 beginning with a viewing at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Most Holy Rosary at 9:30 a.m., led by Emily Brito and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., celebrated by Father Hoi Tran, assisted by altar servers Jared and Justin Storey. Interment will follow at the Valencia Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Sena, Stephanie McDonald, Jessica McDonald, Lisa Garcia, Richard Garcia and John Garcia. The family would like to thank Dr. Dennie Jones and staff of the UNM Cancer Center as well as Vista Care Hospice for the exceptional care they provided for Deacon Joe. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the UNM Cancer Center.
