Joelyn Montano, 76, loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, a resident of Albuquerque, NM went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Joelyn was born July 5, 1934 in Albuquerque. Joelyn loved spending time with her family and friends. Joelyn enjoyed playing board and computer games and was a seamstress. She had a fulfilling career in the electronics industry. Joelyn is survived by her children, Irvine Montano, Yvonne Mora, Susana Armijo, Theodore Montano, Thomas Montano, Theresa Sandoval and husband Mark and Robert Montano; grandchildren, Melissa and Denise Mora, Gerald Armijo, Monique Vigil, Anthony and Angela Sandoval; Great Grandchildren Ashley and Alijah Armijo, Angelique Londos and Stone Spear; sisters, Rosalie Sierra husband Pepilo, Vangie Tapia husband Justo; Brother J.P. Gonzales wife Lollie. Joelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband Billy S. Montano; sisters, Elsie Sanchez and Henrietta McCallaster; and brother Peter Gonzales. Joelyn will be greatly missed by numerous family members, friends and all who knew and loved her. A visitation for Joelyn will be held Thursday July 22, 2010 at 6:00 pm in the 8th street chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A rosary for Joelyn will be recited following the visitation at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00am on Friday July 23, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Peralta, NM. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo cemetery.
