Ollie Vett Young, 95, passed away July 7, 2010. Ollie was born November 19, 1914 in Clarksville, Texas to Edmon and Mattie (Dixon) Lewis. She met and married Deacon Charles A. Young in Clarksville. The family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1954 and became part of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Ollie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 60 years; sons, Joe, Jerry and David; and daughter, Deloris Jackson. She leaves to mourn her sons, Charles and wife, Mary (Columbia, SC), Cleophus Young and wife Norma (Dallas, TX); In Albuquerque her sons, Bobby Young, James Young, Donald Young, (Denver, CO), Eddie Young and wife MaryAnn, and Kelvin Young; One daughter Novella Maple; and a host of nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with interment to follow at Fairview Memorial Park.
