Obituary for SCHAMAUN

John Thomas Schamaun (Jack), 75, a long time resident of Albuquerque, died July 8, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; a son, Richard Schamaun and wife Wendy of White Rock, NM; a daughter, Diane Robinson and husband Allen of Saginaw, TX; five grandchildren, Leanne, Chad, Andrew, Jennifer and husband Dace, and Tiffany; one brother, Roger Schamaun and wife Anita of White Rock, NM; one sister, Mary O'Neil and husband Jim of Durango, CO. Jack was retired from Sandia National Laboratories where he worked as a civil engineer for 33 years. He was a veteran that served the United States during the Korean War. He was a docent at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. Jack was a member of the Rio Grande Woodcarvers and he was involved in woodturning. A viewing will be held at French ~ Wyoming Chapel at 10:00 a.m. followed by the services at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2010. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
