Virginia L. Crump, 88, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 7, 2010. She is survived by son, Rick Crump and wife Margie; daughter, Vici Shoemaker and husband Tom; and son Mickey Crump and wife Lisa; five grandchildren, Rebecca Fitzpatrick, Matthew Shoemaker, Leslie Dukes, Richelle Birdsall, and Andrea Streight; and seven great-grandchildren, Addy Shoemaker, Bailey Fitzpatrick, Ethan Birdsall, Morghan Birdsall, Maddox Birdsall, Tyler Streight, and Kailey Streight. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Kenneth Crump. Virginia was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN and moved to Albuquerque in 1956. She enjoyed gardening, painting and traveling. Virginia was a member of Mountainside Church of Christ since 1956. The family would like to thank the residents and staff at Los Colinas Retirement Community for the nurturing and care of their mother, Virginia. A celebration of Virginia's life will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Mountainside Church of Christ 12300 Indian School Rd. NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Virginia's name to Albuquerque Christian Children's Home, 5700 Winter Haven Dr. NW, 87120 or the Ponderosa Christian Camp, 12300 Indian School Rd.
