Richard Milton Justus was born on July 2, 1932 in Clarinda, Iowa and passed away in San Antonio, TX on Friday, July 2, 2010. Dick worked in Civil Service for 33 years retiring in 1987. Dick returned to Albuquerque for his love of ballooning, collecting Southwestern art, and volunteering for professional and civic organizations. He moved back to San Antonio in 2009. He is survived by a sister, Nancy Thomas; four children, Peggy Rogstad and husband Andy, Karen Manuel and husband Mark, Joanna Hines, and Tom Justus; four grandchildren, Katie and Leah Rogstad, Brandon Hines,Korey Manuel; and his constant furry companion Noche. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Hester Justus; and his wife of 39 years, Venita Justus. A memorial service will be held at Madison Square Presbyterian Church 319 Camden St., San Antonio, TX on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. A reception will be held immediately following the service. Dick requested that any memorial contributions be made to any animal rescue organization of your choice.
