Carl Hendry, 84, passed away Friday, July 2, 2010. He had been married to Gladys Simond Hendry 27 years and just couldn't live without his "rock and anchor". Disheartened after her death on June 6, 2010, his willpower and courage failed. Carl was born July 16, 1925 in Hazel Park, MI, son of George and Racheal A. McLure Hendry. He was an active, charter member of Sandia Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his two daughters, Charlenea and her husband Gary Ellis, Moriarty, NM, Candice and her husband Tony Fuentes, Alamogordo, NM; two sons, Carl Maurice and his wife Linda, Centerville, OH, Calvin James, Clines Corner, NM; stepchildren, Robert and his wife Sharron, Watauga, TX, Linda Jaramillo, Watauga, TX, Jane and her husband Bruce Kerr, Albuquerque, NM, Gail Robertson, Albuquerque, NM, 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Gladys; daughter Cynthia Boyle; two grandchildren, Joshua and Nikki; five sisters, four brothers; former wife of 34 years and mother to his five children, Clara Helsom Hendry. Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Sandia Presbyterian Church, 10704 Paseo Del Norte NE (Paseo and Eubank), Albuquerque, NM.
