Alex G. Sanchez, 43, a resident of Albuquerque went home to be with the Lord on June 25, 2010. Alex is survived by his mother, Sarah Sanchez; his sons, Matthew Sanchez, and Joshua Sanchez; the mother of his children, Stephanie Sanchez; his brothers, Gene Sanchez and wife, Germaine, Leo Sanchez and wife, Jennie, Joseph Sanchez and wife, Yvonne, and Sam Sanchez and wife, Anna; his Goddaughter, Nicolette Kroupa; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Alex was preceded in death by his father, Emiliano Sanchez; and his grandmothers, Petrita Gallegos and Marianita Leyba. Alex loved and was loved by his family. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He also had a special love for his pets. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 N Plaza Street NW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Hilda Abeyta. Final visitation will be Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Father Richard McGowan, presider. Mr. Sanchez will be put to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Sanchez, Moses Santiago, Pat Sanchez, Gene Sanchez, Mark Sanchez and Greg Moore.
