Obituary for WEBER

Lois Ilene Weber, age 74, died on Monday, June 7, 2010. A resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1960, she was born and raised in Minong, Wisconsin. Her marriage took her to Albuquerque where she resided until her death. When her children were young she was always there to help out with Cub Scouts, Little League baseball and various school organizations. She was active in the Nor Este Art group as an oil painter and participated in many bowling leagues. Later in life she put herself through nursing school and worked as a nurse for many years. She was known for providing loving care to many nursing home residents. She was a woman of many talents. She sewed her daughter's wedding dress and brides' maid dresses. She also quilted, knitted and baked cakes which she decorated for every occasion. Family and friends were recipients of many homemade gifts which we will treasure always. Now age, pain and sorrow are no longer hers to bear as heavenward she has gone with our tears. Lois was preceded in death by her son Peter; and her daughter Terry Weber. She is survived by her loving sons, Mark Weber, Joe Weber and his wife Margaret.; she has six grandchildren, Nicholas Garcia, Jessica Woods, Allison, Diana and Sara Weber and Peter Browne-Weber; and two great- grandchildren, Nick Jr. and Jordan Garcia. Cremation has taken place and family and friends will gather at a private memorial service.
