Obituary for OSBORNE

Norma Osborne, a resident of Albuquerque since 1994, died Thursday, June 17, 2010. She is survived by her son James David Osborne Jr. of Lafayette, CO; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Annie Lathrope; her daughter, Donna L. Shook; and husband of 57 years, James D. Osborne Sr. She was born in New Milford, CT on October 11, 1927 and graduated from high school there. During World War II Norma worked in a parachute factory and then as an operator for the Southern New England Telephone Co. She and James were married on August 20, 1949. Norma enjoyed knitting, sewing, playing the organ, bridge, and singing. She was a loving wife and mother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at French-Wyoming Chapel, Saturday, June 26, 2010, 2:00 p.m. Burial of Cremated Remains will take place at a later date in CT.
