Faustino M. Romero, 67, beloved father of nine, passed away June 6, 2010, after a brief illness. He is survived by his former spouse and love of his life, Jennie Romero; his children, Theresa Ayala and husband, Pete, Melvin Romero, Diana Lackey and husband, Dale, Dennis Romero and wife, Isabel, Denise Cianci and husband, Robert, Leroy Romero and wife, Phyllis, Priscilla Romero and partner Eloisa, and Isaac Romero; sister, Dolores Mirabal; brothers, David and Abie Romero; 21 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Carlos Anthony Romero; parents, Teresa and Abelino Romero; sister, Susie Maldonado; and brothers, Toby and Porfinio Romero. The family wishes to thank all those who shared our pain the past couple of months, especially dad's sister, Dolores, and niece, Isabel. Daddy - mere words cannot express what you meant to us. We will miss you until the day we see you again, but we are consoled knowing that your suffering is over. You showed extreme courage and dignity in your final journey and again proved the remarkable man you were. Visitation for Mr. Romero will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Salazar & Sons Mortuary from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. followed by a service at from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services are in the care of: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW 247-4124
