John S. Nakashima, 86, died Saturday May 29, 2010. He is survived by his daughters, Laura Nakashima and Shelli Simpson and husband David; granddaughters, Shannon and Michelle; and numerous other family members. Interment will be held in Colorado. A memorial celebration of John's life will be held at the home of David and Shelli Simpsom on June 15, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to the Special Olympics of New Mexico, 6600 Palomas NE, Suite 207, Albuquerque, N.M. 87109.
