Evelyn Avery, 90, resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Avery Kellogg; sister-in-law, Ruth Oxenham of Gulf Breeze, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Stanley W. Avery in 2007. She was born in Oak Park, IL. on December 9, 1919. She and her family moved to Albuquerque in 1950. She and her daughter moved back to Albuquerque in 2008. Evelyn was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, and she was also a member of the Cosmopolitan Women's Club. Cremation has taken place. As per Evelyn's wishes no services will be held. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
