Onofre (Onie) G. Perea, 91, loving husband and father went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, May 11, 2010. He was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. Onie retired from Sandia National Labs after 35 years of service and was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Onie was preceded in death by his wife, Esther E. Perea; four brothers; and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Ruth M. Perea; three sons, Frank Jaramillo, Will Jaramillo and Ken Jaramillo; four daughters, Diane (Perea) Ritz, Theresa Fierro, Diane Sarracino and Judy Suchomski; one sister, Sue Pettkoske; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The visitation will be held, Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary proceeding at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 17, 2010 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Don Ritz, Derek Ritz, Dustin Ritz, Richard Sarracino, Ernie Fierro and Will Jaramillo.
