Nora Ferne Truby,(Kooka) 88, of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on May 1, 2010. Ferne was born in Allen, Nebraska, on August 21, 1921 to Ralph and Jessie Andersen. She is survived by her daughter, Virlene Lyngen and husband, Wayne of Albuquerque, NM; sons, Daniel Truby and wife, Pam of Keller, Texas; Richard Truby and wife, Tami of Lewiston, Idaho; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great- great- grandson; Also survived by sister, Jean Lockwood of Florida; and brother, Bob Anderson and wife, Sharon of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. She was a truly committed daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great- grandmother. She always enjoyed being surrounded by her loving family and friends. Especially her friends at La Resalana Senior Complex where she had resided for the past five years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice in her honor. A family memorial celebration of her life will be held at the family home of daughter, Virlene and Wayne Lyngen on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.
