Opal Regina Norton, 79, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010. Mrs. Norton is survived by her children, Lauretta J. Norton, John W. Norton, Sharie M. Hutchison, Janice L. Nash and husband, Wilford, Judith A. Norton and partner, Leroy R. Jaramillo; her sister, Laverne Fisher; three grandchildren, and many other extended family. Mrs. Norton was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Norton. Visitation will be Monday, May 3, 2010, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, with a Funeral Service at 9:00 a.m. A Committal service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, El Paso, Texas. Pallbearers will be Benjamin Hutchison, Joseph Michael Bonneau and Ron Pruitt.
