Clyde Oden Meadows, born January 11, 1918 in Moriarty, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010 in Pflugerville, Texas at the age of 92. Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Ola; his parents; and his siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Gilbert and his son-in-law, Gary Gilbert, of Pflugerville, Texas; and his grandchildren, Linda Gilbert of Round Rock, Texas, and Grant Gilbert also of Pflugerville, Texas. He is also survived by ten nieces and one nephew. Clyde served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during WWII and retired from Manzano Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico after over 30 years of service in the fire department. Clyde enjoyed traveling with family, the CB radio, woodworking, jewelry making, square dancing, and activities at various Albuquerque senior citizen centers. Clyde lived in Albuquerque until 1995, when he moved to be with his daughter and her family. He was a loving father, grandfather, and uncle and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2010, 10:30 a.m., at French - University Chapel. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
