Melton Dean McCreary, 72, resident of Edgewood, a member of Moriarty First Baptist Church, died peacefully at home Thursday, April 29, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Marion; children, Kevin, Michael, Sue, Jim, John, Rick, Julie, Chris, Ryan, David and Charlie; sister Urdine Grenko and husband, John; sister-in-law, Carolyn McCreary; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mel worked as a Quality Control Inspector at ACF, GE, Singer, Coronado Machine and Standard Machine. He lived in Albuquerque from his early teens and graduated from Albuquerque High School. He moved to Edgewood in 2000. He was also an active member of Central United Methodist Church, Hoffmantown and St. Paul's Methodist. He left the message for his family and friends to "PRAISE GOD." Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2010, 10:00 a.m., First Baptist Church Moriarty, 401 Irene Avenue, Moriarty, NM, Exit 196.
