Leonard R. Bean, 91, born in Huntington, MA on February 1, 1919, a World War II veteran who served in action in the European theater, a past resident of Ludlow for 26 years and former proprietor of "The Ludlow Fish Market" for thirty years died on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Veterans Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. Preceding him in death was his wife Ginette. His children and grandchildren have many great memories of time shared with him over the years and Leonard's legacy will live on. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Baker-Flow and her husband, Richard Flow of Wells, ME, Leonard J. Bean and his wife, Dorothy of Albuquerque, NM, Gregory Bean and wife Tammy of Round Rock, TX, Randall Bean and wife Anita of Townsend, VT and Jeffery Bean of Adrian, MO. Friends and family may visit French - Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, April 16, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with a rosary following at 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth's Church, 181 Hubbard Street, Ludlow, MA on Friday, April 23, 2010, 11:00 a.m. followed by a 1:00 p.m. service at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA.
